We have just ordered the new Jennifer Paganelli range ‘Circa’ which is due for delivery in May 2013.  Due to its anticipated demand we are taking pre-orders on this gorgeous range.

Fabric will be prices at $20 per metre ($18 for Club Members).  Bolt pricing is available, which will be $112 for a 7m bolt.

Lyn Kenny of Kenny Kreations always produces elegant and intricate machine embroidery designs and we are delighted to be showcasing her work and giving you a chance to meet her at her Trunk Show at Sew This & That in January.

Many of Lyn Kenny’s embroidery designs come with more that just pretty stitches, with her design discs often including projects to use the designs with.  This offers a new inspiration to those of us who collect designs but don’t get around to using them, and great ambition to those of us who have just entered the world of machine embroidery.  From small practical projects like the Classic Crazy Bag to enormous triumph like the spectacular Midnight Roses Quilt, Kenny Kreations covers the entire spectrum of elegant machine embroidery creations.

We just keep loving Riley Blake Designs, and after a trip to their distribution centre yesterday, we have added even more great products to our range including buttons, trims and kits.  But one of the new products that we are especially excited about is their dynamic Laminated Fabric range.  This fabric is both water resistant and pliable and because it is a beautiful quality print fabric that has been laminated with a clear vinyl treatment, it is soft and easy to sew.  Replace the exterior fabric of a bag pattern with this for a fresh look, or take advantage of its water resistance to create something new like shower bags and caps, lunch totes, or even splash resistant coat for winter.  Best of all, the prints can be easily co-ordinated with the rest of the Riley Blake range, which means that you can let your creativity run free.

Sew Your Support – Breast Cancer Support Sewing Day

Sew This & That will be hosting another sewing day to create items to show your support for people fighting cancer.  Spend some or all of the day making bags and cushions to make treatment more comfortable, or if you can’t get in, you can show your support in other ways including donating fabric (100% cotton please), or dropping in cakes and snacks for the day.  Even if sewing isn’t your strong point, we also need cushion stuffers, pattern cutters and general hands to keep things going smoothly.  Now that we have our big new classroom, we’d love to see it filled to the brim with enthusiastic volunteers.

Handmade Expo Markets Here We Come!!!

We are delighted to announce that we are going to be setup at the next Handmade Expo Markets at the Morayfield Leisure Centre on Sunday 3rd February.  We will have lots of fabrics, patterns, kits and products AND we want you to be involved with us too.  We are inviting all of our customers to sell their Handmade creations on consignment in our stall.  You can sell any fabric creation that you have made as long as it is made with 60% of our products.  To find out more, give us a call: 5495 5381.
